“do not hinder them”

i’m sure many of us can agree that we’ve been young women far longer than we’ve been little girls. i think of the things i saw, felt + experienced as a child + i realize how certain things took my innocence.

you can’t prevent life from happening, not even the best of parents. however, what we can do is recover. heal. forgive.

Jesus said the kingdom is ours, queens. inhabit it. claim it. receive it. 🤍

I want to start by making sure that you are well aware of how proud of you I am. You are truly everything that you wanted to be & everything that you never thought you'd be able to witness. Some days I sit and try to find the very moment where you lost your smile, but I can never figure it out.. then most other days I sit and think of when you got that big beautiful smile right back. It took some time but you persevered, you never gave up, you found God again, and before you knew it there was that smile.

As you continue through life being a new mom & getting closer  to God I just want you to remember to continue to smile, don't let anyone control how you feel about life or about yourself, keep laughing even when nothings funny & never lose that smile again.

I love you,

ᴀʟᴇxɪs
