💭 ғʀᴏᴍ ᴛʜᴇ ᴡᴏᴍᴀɴᴀɪʀᴇ we take it a step deeper with my brother Glo. the word that comes to mind with his answer is repentance. a repentant heart + state of mind keeps you in so many ways. it allows you to extend grace to yourself + others. It allows you remain humble + open for Holy Spirit conviction. i absolutely loved this answer.
the Bible has sooooo many examples of imperfect men + women. God somehow still used them! what i notice about a lot of the women stories in the Bible, especially when it came to interacting with Jesus, He would use the woman’s story as a teaching moment. in this particular story, we can learn how faith is active, moving + alive so much so that we can participate. in the story about the woman who committed adultery, we learn grace. when we learn about the woman who cried at Jesus’ feet, we learn humility, honor + repentance. over + over the Bible affirms how important it is for a woman to be exposed, vulnerable + open before the Lord. in fact, when she is this way in Bible stories, she receives a blessing of a lifetime.
