Love this quote so much because it highlights the depths of a woman in her entirety. We have the ability to balance + handle so much all at once. However it’s easy to get lost in what life throws at us.
One the biggest tactics that has helped me within my thinking is guarding my entry points. Anything that can be manipulated to allow my thoughts to run ramped and unaligned has to be filtered. I’ve learned that the Holy Spirit is the best filter to not only apply to my thoughts but to the way I live my life.
day one: ᴘᴜʀɪᴛʏ ᴏғ ᴍɪɴᴅ
one day last year i was (over)thinking + i realized that I usually didn’t give a clear answer. i felt the need to over-explain, under-decide + still be left confused. the Bible says to “let your yes be yes + your no be no”.
i simply had way too many thoughts, + i didn’t know who the thoughts were coming from! i decided to stop drinking. i thought this physical action would produce for me spiritually. however i realized during this cleanse that my mind needed renewal, purification, + rerouting.
do you ever wake up + there’s a thousand things on your mind all at once? are you ever out with friends or family + your thoughts carry you away? or maybe you feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders? these are some basic ways that you can notice your mind is cloudy.
the true manifestation of an impure mind goes deeper than this though. these symptoms are just the leaves 🍃. for example, other symptoms could be selfishness, refusing to compromise/show empathy, stubbornness to name a few. here are some more roots of an impure mind⬆️

hear my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you I pray. in the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.
the best advice i can give regarding purifying your mind is to catch it when it’s fresh. in the morning, surrender your thoughts + gain direction for your day at that point in your day. as your day goes on it’s not too late, but i’ve found it to be more effective at the start.
p.s. i know it’s popular + cute but I don’t mean just 15 min of your day. make room for God in your life. i usually spend 30 min, sometimes even 2 hours seeking God before i even speak to anyone else or accomplish a thing. for me, that meant waking up even earlier but I was willing to do that for sanity, clarity + direction in my life.
Here some scriptures that remind us of the importance of understanding what a pure mind is based on + more importantly how to protect it🤍
